Inclement Weather

COVID-19 coronavirus information
Staff members who feel they may have been exposed to the virus and are exhibiting symptoms should contact Employee Occupational Health at 224-610-4215, prior to returning to work. Symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Staff who are sick and stay home must contact their supervisors for instruction, as always.
Supervisors are conducting screening and temperature checks. Non-FHCC patient staff members who have a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, after two checks, will be told to return home and advised to contact their physician. Staff members who are FHCC patients have the option of going to to the respiratory clinic.
Employees must show their Lovell FHCC and PIV/CAC cards at COVID-19 screening tables to be exempt from screening.
All employees who want the COVID-19 vaccine may receive it.
Pharmacy
Only FHCC TRICARE staff patients may order refill prescriptions for pick-up at the main hospital pharmacy (instead of Burkey Mall), by calling 224-610-3752 and indicating they are staff. Please allow 72 hours processing time. Also please call during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to speak to a live FHCC pharmacy technician.
Just a reminder, masks are required for those entering the hospital campus and in all clinics.
Gate hours are as follows:
Green Bay Road: Restricted access outside of rush hours due to construction.
Buckley Road/Lewis: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Buckley Road/Ray Street: Open 5:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Gates marking property lines between FHCC and Rosalind Franklin University (near Bldg. 135, Green Homes and Bldg. 66) will be open 24/7, Monday-Friday, but will be closed at 8 p.m. each Friday and reopened at 5:45 a.m. Monday mornings.
Note: Screening also will take place at the CBOCS, and masks are required.
Visitor Restriction: Please note for the immediate future, no visitors are allowed. Patients are strongly encouraged to enter FHCC buildings alone, unless they need a companion for medical or safety reasons.

Despite the above controls to help control the spread of COVID-19, Lovell FHCC’s main hospital and Naval Station Great Lakes branch clinics are open, with normal operating hours.
At any time, Lovell FHCC's Naval Station Great Lakes branch clinics may be operating with heightened security or impacted by base closures or "late starts" due to weather.
