Work Status for Employees

Situation Update

As of Friday, June 26, 2020 5:04 PM CDT

Director statement regarding reporting for duty:
COVID-19 coronavirus information

Staff members who feel they may have been exposed to the virus and are exhibiting symptoms should contact Employee Occupational Health at 224-610-4214, prior to returning to work. Symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Staff who are sick and stay home must contact their supervisors for instruction, as always.

To protect our patients, staff, volunteers and visitors and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, FHCC is screening all occupants in their vehicles as they enter the North Chicago campus. Please allow for extra time. Non-FHCC patient staff members who have a temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, after two checks, will be told to return home and advised to contact their physician. Staff members who are FHCC patients have the option of going to to the respiratory clinic.

Pharmacy

Only FHCC TRICARE staff patients may order refill prescriptions for pick-up at the main hospital pharmacy (instead of Burkey Mall), by calling 224-610-3752 and indicating they are staff. Please allow 72 hours processing time. Also please call during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to speak to a live FHCC pharmacy technician.

Just a reminder, masks are required for those entering the hospital campus and in all clinics.

Gate hours are as follows:

Green Bay Road gate (staff members are encouraged to use this gate): Entry open 6-10 a.m.; Exit open 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

Buckley Road/Lewis gate: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Ray Street gate: Open for deliveries only from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Note: Screening also will take place at the McHenry CBOC. As of April 1, the Kenosha and Evanston CBOCS are temporarily closed and providing virtual care only.

Visitor Restriction: Please note for the immediate future, no visitors are allowed. Patients are strongly encouraged to enter FHCC buildings alone, unless they need a companion for medical or safety reasons.

Current operating hours:

Despite the above controls to help control the spread of COVID-19, Lovell FHCC’s main hospital and Naval Station Great Lakes branch clinics are open, with normal operating hours.
