Handicap Parking Enforcement Campaign

During the month of April, the FHCC police will join with the Illinois State Police to survey the FHCC handicap parking spaces for violations of parking laws and regulations.

Designated accessible parking spaces for people with disabilities may only be used by individuals who have a handicap license plate, a windshield placard issued by the state or a temporary handicapped placard issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Police. Violators will be issued citations with fines. FHCC Police will look for motorists who were found to be using stolen or fraudulent handicap placards or plates; in addition they will look for motorists who fail to display a valid handicapped plate or placard.

Lovell FHCC cares for our Nation’s Active Duty Military and Veterans and believes it is important to make sure we have sufficient handicap parking available for those authorized to park in those spaces, and that the handicap parking laws are enforced.

We thank you for your compliance.
