New Gastroenterology Clinic consolidates care in central location; expands services
More space, centrally located, will equate to improved access and quality patient-centered care for gastroenterology patients of Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago, Ill.
Lovell FHCC will cut the ribbon on the new clinic at noon, Friday, May 29. The clinic is located on the third floor of Building 133 on the main hospital campus in North Chicago. The public is invited to tour the new space immediately after the ribbon-cutting.
The renovation project combined the existing GI clinic and endoscopy, doubling the square-footage with three new state-of-the-art procedure rooms and a six-bed holding/post-anesthesia care unit. New services include advanced endoscopic ultrasound with integrated 3-D imaging, and a dedicated hepatitis clinic. The hepatitis clinic will provide more patients advanced therapies, resulting in improved outcomes.
